EPDM (ethylene propylene diene methylene) rubber is synthetic and is used for various uses
including playground surface and sports flooring purposes. It is safe and non-toxic, which makes it a great
option for children's playgrounds.
EPDM is a copolymer of ethylene, propylene and a small amount of non-conjugated diene monomers
(3% - 9%) which provide cross-linking sites for vulcanization (rubber hardening).
